I am Anne Jolly from the cardiac charity SADS UK (Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome). We work to place defibrillators widely in the community, with a particular focus on schools. We hold two conferences each year. On April 7th the SADS UK conference is being held as part of Lifeconnections in Kettering Northampton. On 22nd October we're holding our Heart to Heart Conference in London. We like to network as widely as we can with trainers. My email is info@sadsuk.org

Hi I am new member my name is Mark and am hoping to become a first responder in the scottish ambulance service and would like some advice. Would a driving lesson company be willing to provide me with free driving lessons if I tell them why I need the driving lessons and and am also hoping a car dealer will provide me with a free car to use to go to call outs

Hi I'm Craig, I've been a CFR for about a year now in North Somerset. I got into it through being a volunteer for Avon and Somerset Search and Cliff Rescue team (a mountain rescue team). I took and passed the Mountain Rescue England and Wales casualty care qualification. Some of the other team members were CFR's, so thought I'd put the training to use in my community.

My name is Paul have been a responder with the Saffron Walden group for just under four months, have had a variety of calls including cardiac arrest and the experience of attending a person I knew I could,nt revive plus an assortment of breathing difficulties and chest pains. I don't want blue lights but think the idea of a recognised polo type garment to be essential with the Community Respnder logo clearly marked. I was a Retained Firefighter for 25 years working as a team, now I find. My self with critically I'll people for long periods of time. I wish more people new about the service Responders provide to thire Community.

good evening
my names is James, i am unit leader and ETA for st john in Yorkshire, i also carry out various roles including radio communications. my full time role is in crop protection for a large national company
i was a CFR in my home town for YAS until recently when i moved to otley where i reset up an exisiting SJA scheme so i could get back into it. i started to volunteer as a cfr to make a difference in my local communities by getting to patients and providing a high standard of care and support and of course a good handover to the crew to give them a little more help in their diagnosis and treatment of the patient.
i have found that since i started as a CFR my confidence has boosted a lot and i am more confident when im out on events or on an ambulance for SJA, it is definatly one the best voluntary roles i have undertaken.
