Hello one and all. Good to know that CFR groups are up and down the country. Hi imTony and have recently become a member of the local CFR group. We are totally new and cover the croydon/coulsdon area of London. We have approx 22 members and are just finding our feet. Feel likewe have been thrown in at the deep end but sure we will cope. Our group has been running approx 10 weeks now and have had vairied calls to deal with.

Hi all,
I'm Martin - found this via an invite on Facebook .. good work admin! I'm a Clinical Team Leader in Sussex, and have worked for the NHS Ambulance Services since 2002. Additionally, I have also been in the voluntary sector with the red cross so my ambulance training started very early!
As well as my current post, I am also an Associate Trainer for our "Responder Network", providing the CFR Foundation Course training, PAD site training and updates for all CFR's, I also respond in my own locality.
I am also developing a website in my own time which aims to provide a source of personal development for everyone from first aid, through CFR, via Tech & Para, and up to A&E staff! It's completely free and will have all sorts including a forum, photo gallery, downloadable documents and powerpoints, chat services, and much more. Email me for details (don't want to spam the board!)
Well done all the CFR's on here, keep up the good work!

Hi Martin, thanks for joining and welcome to the forum. The boards are looking a bit bare at the moment so please feel free to start any new threads! We need someone to kickstart as we weant to create some great conversation points. Good luck with your site. You will have to keep us posted.

Hi Everyone, I'm Ian & I'm a responder as well the coordinator for the Castle Donington group. We've been up & running since last June and currently have 6 active members. Recruitment & fund raising are our main priorities at the moment. I would like to see some kind of recognised national organisation that is dedicated and sympathetic to the First Responder movement, but I'm not holding my breath! I'm sure we share common frustrations, so let's spread the word and thrash them out here.

Hi Ian, good to see you here. You share our thoughts exactly. Hopefully, (although only a small start) our monthly newsletter will help to bring CFRs together and create something of a movement.

Hi I am Ray and I am a CFR in Castle Donington, I live in Allenton but due to no one from my area contacting me I joined the Donington group in Nov 08. I respond from my parents house and I am glad I became a CFR. We all make a difference as CFRs but as Ian says, we need to be more widely recognised.
