What Vehicle do you drive when you are on a way to a call?
Plus, do you have any signs etc on it to show you are a responder?

My Nissan Almera when out of work, plus a Univisor with Paramedic on it. Work is so much more fun!

We use trust vehicles.

I have univisors with FIRST RESPONDER and AMBULANCE. Other window panel stickers for the back window in case I come across an incident off duty

we have magnetic reflective signs on the sides, front and rear that read Ambulance First Responder and a sign of life on the bonnet, the signs move with the kit to the next person on call and we use our own cars, our insurance companies know and agree at no cost interestingly they always seem to offer blue light cover for free as well (which we don't need). Some of us have our own signs the same as the group ones purely because its easier to stop your own signs picking up dirt and scratching your car. during the snow we have 2 members with 4x4 and we shared the shifts during that time and we notified the HEOC that we were in appropriate vehicles, sometimes we could get where the ambulance and RRV could not without big delays.

I use my own car, a ford mondeo, with a univisor with Ambulance Service First Responder on it. South West Ambulance are curently putting together a Trust policy on responder groups having their own vehicles so we may as group get a group vehicle.
